The 2008 Mustang Bullitt – based after Steve McQueen’s Mustang – is coming to dealerships everywhere next year. Only 7,700 of these $31,075 mustangs will be produced for both the Unites States and Canada – which means you better get to them fast before they are all gone. Ford has been true to the design of the original Steve McQueen Mustang and has even removed any badges and emblems that would identify it as a Mustang.
Ever since 2005 the Ford Mustang has been given a retro theme. And that theme is continued into the 2008 model year. We can expect to see this design until yet another makeover will be performed for the 2010 model year. Yet, even though they kept with the design they still had to spice things up a bit because they are finding themselves coming up a little short in sales. With the added spice maybe they can spark people’s interest again.
Ford and Shelby beleived that 2008 was the year for suprises and just a few changes. And when they saw how popular their 2007 Shelby GT was they knew that they should make it even better. They decided that what every Mustang enthusiast needed was a convertible. That is why the 2008 Shelby GT Convertible will be available to exclusive buyers in coupe and convertible starting in August. Ford plans on the 2008 Shelby GT to make it big now that it has a new air of excitement to it.
